Paul Rhoads

Paul Rhoads was let go at Iowa State in 2015, and Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema snatched him up. Rhoads will coach the Hogs’ defensive backs.

Paul Rhoads is a career defensive coach who became a defensive coordinator at Pitt (2000-07) and Auburn (2008) before becoming Iowa State’s head coach in 2009.

Rhoads took over for Gene Chizik as Auburn’s defensive coordinator in 2008. When Tommy Tuberville resigned following that season, Auburn hired Chizik, who didn’t retain Rhoads, and then Rhoads took over Chizik’s former position at Iowa State.

Rhoads also has coached for Missouri Western, Utah State, Ohio State and Pacific.
