Buddy Boeheim suspended by ACC after punching Florida State player
Buddy Boeheim has been suspended by the ACC for his actions in the Syracuse-Florida State game. Boeheim is suspended for the Syracuse-Duke game after video showed he appeared to punch FSU’s Wyatt Wilkes in the stomach. The officials did not see the punch.
The ACC released a statement to reporters:
“The Atlantic Coast Conference today announced a one-game suspension for Syracuse men’s basketball player Buddy Boeheim as a result of a flagrant act committed during the first half of the Syracuse-Florida State game.”

Syracuse won the game 96-57, with Boeheim playing 22 minutes, scoring 12 points. Wednesday afternoon, Boeheim released his own statement through Syracuse communications, saying he swung his arm out in frustration while venting his frustration and apologized to Wilkes in the handshake line.
