The 2023 NCAA Tournament is still a few months away as the 2022-23 men’s college basketball season just got started.
But it’s never too early to start looking ahead to March Madness, and that’s exactly what ESPN bracketology expert Joe Lunardi is doing.
On Tuesday, Lunardi released his latest NCAA Tournament projections and had 8 SEC squads included in the field of 68. He had Florida and Texas A&M among the last 4 in the tournament and had Ole Miss and LSU as the first 2 teams out of the field.
Here’s a look at his SEC-related projections:
- Arkansas — No. 3 seed (South)
- Kentucky — No. 4 seed (East)
- Alabama — No. 5 seed (Midwest)
- Auburn — No. 5 seed (South)
- Tennessee — No. 6 seed (Midwest)
- Mississippi State — No. 10 seed (East)
- Florida — No. 11 seed (West)
- Texas A&M — No. 12 seed (Midwest)
- Ole Miss — First Four Out
- LSU — First Four Out
Will we see an SEC squad climb its way up to the No. 1 or No. 2 line? We’ll see how the rest of the year goes!
