ESPN’s updated bracketology list includes 8 SEC teams in the NCAA Tournament
The 2019 NCAA Tournament is just around the corner as the regular season in the Southeastern Conference features just one more game for each of the league’s 14 teams.
Despite there only being one game remaining in the regular season, there’s plenty of drama still to unfold include Kentucky and Tennessee’s battle for a No. 1 seed, LSU potentially climbing up the seedings, and programs like Alabama, Florida and Ole Miss doing everything they can to stay in the field.
The latest updated bracketology list from ESPN’s Joe Lunardi has just been released and he’s got eight SEC teams in the field at this point, with two firmly on the bubble.
Here is how Lunardi has every SEC team listed in his updated bracketology list heading into the weekend:
East Region
- #3 seed LSU vs. #14 seed Yale
West Region
- #6 seed Auburn vs. #11 seed Minnesota
- #10 seed Ole Miss vs. #7 seed Villanova
Midwest Region
- #1 seed Kentucky vs. #16 seed Sam Houston State
- #6 seed Mississippi State vs. #11 seed St. John’s
- #10 seed Florida vs. #7 seed Cincinnati
- #12 seed Alabama/#12 seed Temple (play-in game) vs. #5 seed Virginia Tech
South Region
- #2 seed Tennessee vs. #15 seed Wright State
