Fairleigh Dickinson is moving on to the 2nd Round!

The Knights shocked No. 1 seed Purdue Friday night, with head coach Tobin Anderson coaching circles around Purdue’s Matt Painter to secure only the 2nd 16-over-1 upset in NCAAT history. The Knights will face off against the winner of FAU/Memphis later Friday night.

This is the 3rd straight year that the Boilermakers have lost to a double digit seed in the tournament. The first lost to 13-seed North Texas in 2021, fell victim to Saint Peter’s on their way to the Elite 8 and once again Friday against Anderson’s Knights. 29 wins, a B1G title and a first-round exit. So is the brutality of March.

Fans and media reacted to Fairleigh Dickinson’s historic win immediately following the win. They didn’t let Purdue get off easily, either.
