Johni Broome, one of the best transfers still available in college basketball, is down to a pair of schools, and both are in the SEC.

The former Morehead State star is choosing between Auburn and Florida, and told Joe Tipton of On3 Sports that he will announce his college decision at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

The 6-foot-10 power forward has visited both the Tigers and the Gators after the Plant City, Florida native also received interest from Kentucky, Duke, Gonzaga, Louisville, Houston and Memphis.

Broome, who has 3 years of eligibility remaining, averaged 16.8 points and 10.5 rebounds last season. Broome was named the Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year. He led the conference in both rebounds and blocked shots.

Broome set MSU’s single-season blocked shot record with 131, and played in all 34 games this past season when he averaged 28.3 minutes per game. He was one of 7 players in program history to have more than 500 points and 300 rebounds in one season.

Broome also finished top five in the nation with 23 double-doubles during the regular season, the second most in program history behind record 28.
