A No. 1 seed remains alive in the 2022 NCAA Tournament. Kansas, the top-seed in the Midwest Region, advanced to the Elite 8 Friday night with a 66-61 win over No. 4-seed Providence. The Jayhawks have something else to celebrate, too. KU has moved to No. 1 in all-time wins among college basketball programs.

Kansas now has 2,354 wins. KU moves ahead of Kentucky, which currently has 2,353 wins.

In the Elite 8, Kansas will face the winner of No. 11-seed Iowa State vs. No. 10-seed Miami. The Midwest Region final is being held at the United Center in Chicago.
