Labaron Philon, one of the top point guards in the 2024 recruiting class, released a list of his top 8 schools Monday.
Included on the list for the Alabama native were 5 SEC programs, headlined by in-state schools Auburn and Alabama.
Also representing the SEC were Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Arkansas.
The final 3 teams included by Philon were Kansas, Michigan, and Cincinnati, but other suitors could still emerge as he also said his “recruitment is still open.”

The 6-4, 177-pound Philon is a standout at Baker High School in Mobile.
He is rated by the 247Sports composite as a 4-star prospect and the No. 39 overall player in the 2024 class.
