Betting lines released for Sweet 16 including all 4 games involving SEC teams
For the first time since 1996, the Southeastern Conference has four teams in the Sweet 16 of an NCAA Tournament. If things continue to go the league’s way, the SEC could have half the field when the Elite 8 is set by Friday night.
In order to accomplish that feat, however, two favorites are going to have to win in the Sweet 16 and two underdogs will have to pull off upsets to advance. The opening lines have been released for the Sweet 16 and every line featuring an SEC team is currently listed at six points or less.
Here are the point spreads for each Sweet 16 matchup, listed in order based on the schedule:
- #4 Florida State vs. #1 Gonzaga (-6.5) — Thursday, 7 p.m. ET on CBS
- #3 Purdue vs. #2 Tennessee (-1) — Thursday, 7:30 p.m. ET on TBS
- #3 Texas Tech vs. #2 Michigan (-2) — Thursday, 9:30 p.m. ET on CBS
