A college basketball game was interrupted on Wednesday when an Uber Eats delivery person walked on the court in the middle of play during the game between Loyola Chicago and Duquesne in the second half of action.

Play was halted to resolve the situation while the announcers did an incredible job describing the issue as it unfolded.

Austin Hansen, Loyola’s assistant athletics director for content development and broadcast operations, recounted how it unfolded from his perspective. Hansen noted that “this kid was clearly doing a prank for Youtube/TikTok. You can see that he is wearing a microphone and tons of students were filming him with their phones.”

Hansen wrote on social media that he didn’t order the McDonalds, “even though it was being “delivered” steps from my camera position.”

Hansen later added, “They didn’t kick him out. He just casually walked back into the stands with his McDonalds in hand.”
