The penultimate Saturday of the 2021-22 SEC basketball regular season should provide plenty of excitement. The 7-game slate features 2 ranked-on-ranked matchups.

Bruce Pearl is back in Knoxville as No. 3 Auburn travels to No. 17 Tennessee. The Volunteers are 14-0 at home this season heading into Saturday’s showdown with the Tigers, who sit atop the SEC standings at 13-2 in conference play. Auburn’s 2 conference losses have come on the road at Arkansas and Florida.

No. 6 Kentucky is in Fayetteville to face an Arkansas team that is 15-1 at home this season and 12-1 over its last 13 overall games. The No. 18 Razorbacks got off to a rough 0-3 start in SEC play, but have since dominated conference play while also defeating West Virginia in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge. John Calipari’s Wildcats are 12-3 in the SEC, having won their last 2 games.

Entering Saturday, 6 conference teams (Auburn, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas, LSU) look set to make the NCAA Tournament. Florida is identified as a bubble watch team in Friday bracketology updates from CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm and ESPN’s Joe Lunardi. Palm has Florida as a No. 12 seed in the First Four while Lunardi has UF in his Next Four Out. Mike White’s Gators are on the road Saturday, facing Georgia.
