Vanderbilt basketball is best known for its unique home court, Memorial Gym, with its concert hall-like balconies and benches situated on the baseline because there’s not enough room for them on the sidelines.

But there’s much more to the Commodores than just their homecourt advantage.

Under a string of successful coaches, including Naismith Hall of Famer C.M. Newton and current leader Mark Byington, Vandy has won 3 SEC regular-season championships, 2 conference tournament titles and made 15 NCAA Tournament appearances, including the most recent in 2025.
