ACC coach calls on league to 'make the right decision' on game as Hurricane Ian approaches
Wake Forest head coach Dave Clawson effectively issued an ultimatum to the ACC Tuesday, saying that he would not be taking his team down to Tallahassee in lieu of Hurricane Ian unless Wake Forest deems traveling to Florida safe.
He added that he certainly hopes that the ACC makes ‘the right decision’ for the top 25 showdown.
Clawson: “You certainly hope that the ACC will make the right decision. If they don’t, we will. We’re not going to travel down there and put anyone at risk.”

"We're not gonna travel down there & put anybody at risk. We're monitoring the weather. Many will claim Clawson is simply trying to dodge Florida State here, but that’s simply not the case. Multiple games have already been moved, postponed or even canceled – Ian is predicted to reach wind speeds strong enough to label it as a category 3 or 4 storm as of Tuesday afternoon.
We’ll see how the ACC and Clawson move forward with the game, which is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Eastern time on ABC.
