Ohio State WR Jeremiah Smith higher than 75.5 receiving yards

Northwestern’s top cover corner this season, Theran Johnson, is having a good year. He’s given up receptions on 54% of targets, doesn’t give up a ton of YAC yardage, has 2 picks, and has 7 pass breakups. But Johnson is also 5-foot-11 and if he’s following around the 6-foot-3 Smith all day, Ohio State is going to find some jump balls are available. Northwestern’s next 3 corners are all giving up receptions on better than 67% of their targets and giving up at least 12 yards per catch. Smith, with at least 80 yards in 6 of his 9 games this season should have a couple of opportunities to break a big one in what will likely be a blowout for the Buckeyes.

Notre Dame RB Jeremiyah Love higher than 57.5 rushing yards

Notre Dame plays Virginia this week, a team whose defense currently ranks 118th out of 134 FBS programs in EPA per run faced. Virginia doesn’t stop the run with any frequency and it has one of the 5 lowest havoc rates of any team in the country. Against a Notre Dame offense predicated on the ground game, there should be opportunities for Love to pop a couple of runs like he did against Navy a few weeks back. Love was quiet against Florida State, with a season-low 19 yards on 9 carries, so  I like the situational spot here. Virginia gave up 80 rushing yards to Pitt’s Desmond Reid, 105 yards to North Carolina’s Omarion Hampton, and 78 yards to Clemson’s Phil Mafah.

BYU RB LJ Martin higher than 70.5 rushing yards

Good tailbacks have shredded the Kansas defense and Martin is a good tailback. Since returning from a multi-week absence due to a lower-leg injury, Martin has found a groove. He ran for 49 yards in limited action in a rout of Arizona in his first game back. In the 3 games since, he has 289 yards on 46 carries (6.3 per run). Kansas ranks 121st nationally in rushing success rate against and 126th in EPA per run faced. Kansas State ran for 226 against the Jayhawks and Arizona State’s Cam Skattebo ran for 182 on his own. Kansas has been playing better football of late, but that’s thanks to the offense. The defense gave up 36 last week and 29 in the previous game.

Kansas QB Jalon Daniels higher than 34.5 rushing yards

Neither defense in this game stops the run, so I’m double-dipping. BYU is outstanding defending the pass but the Cougars rank 80th in rushing success rate allowed and 106th in EPA per run faced. They have struggled to defend mobile quarterbacks all year. Kansas State’s Avery Johnson ran for 74 yards. Baylor’s Sawyer Robertson ran for 29 and a score. Arizona’s Noah Fifita had his season-high for rushing against the Cougars. Oklahoma State’s Garret Rangel ran for 77 yards. Utah’s Brandon Rose ran for 55. As mentioned above, the recent step from Kansas is because of the offense. In his last 3 games, Daniels has 194 rushing yards and 34 carries.

LSU TE Mason Taylor higher than 34.5 receiving yards

Taylor is averaging 47 receiving yards per game on the season and now gets to go against a defense that just got shredded by the pass a week ago and has been hurt by tight ends all season. Miami’s Elijah Arroyo had 89 yards on 4 catches against the Gators. Mississippi State’s Seydou Traore had 48 yards on 4 catches against the Gators. The trio of Ben Yurosek, Lawson Luckie, and Oscar Delop had 5 catches for 81 yards against the Gators. Texas’s Gunnar Helm had 3 catches for 42 yards and a touchdown. Taylor is the second-most targeted guy in a pass-happy LSU offense this season. He should have no trouble clearing this number.
