Ole Miss WR Cayden Lee higher than 51.5 receiving yards

The upside to Tre Harris going out of the Ole Miss lineup for an extended period of time was that it forced Ole Miss to diversify its attack. From Aug. 31 through Sept. 28, Harris caught 49 passes for 804 yards in 5 games. The nation’s most prolific passing attack ran through Harris and, when he was sidelined with an injury against LSU on Oct. 12, he was leading the country in receiving. Since Oct. 12, Lee has 22 catches for 399 yards. In the 6 games prior, Lee had 18 catches for 297. He showed promise, but there wasn’t enough to go around.

The downside (used sarcastically) to Harris returning to the lineup this week for the Florida game is coach Lane Kiffin now has to figure out how to feed all his options. Harris, Lee, Jordan Watkins, and Juice Wells give Ole Miss one of the deepest receiver groups in the country. In the short term, I think the majority of them can have solid days against a beat-up Florida secondary. The top 2 corners for the Gators played all 93 snaps a week ago because of injury. Florida will once again be without regular starters Jason Marshall and Devin Moore, which means the backups are going to see heavy snaps once again. Lee will have favorable matchups throughout the day.

SMU RB Brashard Smith higher than 98.5 rushing yards

Virginia’s defense just got shredded by Notre Dame on the ground a week ago. The Cavs’ defense in general hasn’t been good this season, and the ground-and-pound outfit of the Fighting Irish faced very little opposition when it tried to play its game. Notre Dame ran for 234 yards as a team as Jeremiyah Love produced a career-best 137 yards. I’m going back to the well with Smith, who has topped 100 yards in each of his last 3 outings. Virginia ranks 105th in rushing success rate allowed, per Game on Paper, so SMU, a team that runs to throw, should be on schedule plenty. Smith should continue to see a healthy workload in a game SMU needs. The Mustangs clinch a spot in the ACC title game with a win; Virginia will get SMU’s full attention.

Arizona State RB Cam Skattebo higher than 85.5 rushing yards

Big backs have posted big numbers against the BYU run defense this season. DJ Giddens had 93 yards on 19 carries. Ollie Gordon II had 107 yards on 16 carries. RJ Harvey had 127 on 16 totes. Micah Bernard had 78 on 17 carries. The Cougars limiting Kansas tailback Devin Neal to 52 yards last weekend was a bit of a surprise given where this defense has been throughout the year. Per Game on Paper, BYU ranks 83rd in rushing success rate allowed and 92nd in EPA per run allowed. Arizona State’s thumper is averaging 5.4 yards per carry and 119 yards per game this season. He’s been hit-or-miss a bit too often — 4 games over 150 yards, 5 games under 80 yards — but when ASU has needed to lean on him, he has delivered. Against this BYU defense at home, I’m expecting ASU to lean on him.

USC QB Jayden Maiava higher than 245.5 passing yards

In his debut as the USC starter, Maiava threw 35 times for 259 yards and 3 touchdowns against Nebraska. The Trojans won and stopped the slide, which was the most important piece. Maiava dabbled with danger a few times, but that’s what you’ll get with the former UNLV starter. Against UCLA in Week 13, he’ll find a favorable matchup to exploit. USC’s offense is humming and UCLA enters the game ranked 119th in EPA per dropback allowed. Indiana threw for 307 yards, LSU threw for 352, and Oregon threw for 278. The best quarterbacks UCLA has faced this season have diced up the secondary. UCLA has made progress as a team, but holding Iowa and Washington under 200 passing yards isn’t much of an accomplishment.

Missouri WR Theo Wease higher than 54.5 receiving yards

Luther Burden has been a major disappointment this season for Missouri, and Wease has actually matched him target-for-target. Wease is the Tigers’ leader in receiving yardage, too. He has been the more reliable receiver, outpacing Burden in offensive snaps in all but 2 games this season. Brady Cook is getting healthier, and Missouri has a favorable matchup this week against one of the worst pass defenses in the FBS. Per Game on Paper, Mississippi State ranks 132nd in EPA per dropback faced. Outside receivers have killed the Bulldogs all year and that should continue.
