Could Nebraska be leaving the Big Ten? Maybe, at least, temporarily.

With speculation running rampant that the Big Ten is headed in the direction of canceling its upcoming season, whether the league really plans to do that or was simply trying to get that information out there to pressure others to do the same remains unclear at this time, there are members of the league unhappy with any discussion of not playing the season.

Various members of the Ohio State and Michigan football programs, including Jim Harbaugh, have voiced their public support for playing the upcoming season but none have come out and went so far as Scott Frost went on Monday.

Here’s what the Nebraska coach had to say when asked about the speculation that the Big Ten could cancel its season.

While noting he prefers to play the Big Ten schedule that was just released last week, Frost noted “we’re prepared to look for other options.”

Frost didn’t stop there.

“I think the university presidents make that decision at the end of the day in conjunction with the commissioner. It’s their decision. I know where our university president stands, and he wants to play football,” he added.

Read into that what you will but the leader of one of the most storied programs in college football history with one of the biggest fan bases just called out the Big Ten with that comment.
