College football DB suffers hamstring injury mid-interception, laterals ball to teammate for pick-6
A defensive back for Fordham made arguably the play of the day in college football on Saturday afternoon.
After intercepting a pass, defensive back Trey Bradford immediately started returning toward the end zone for a potential pick-6. However, after a few steps, he appeared to pull his hamstring.
Rather than go down, though, Bradford successfully flipped the ball to teammate Alex Kemper who did the rest of the work for him by returning the interception for a touchdown.
Here’s a replay of the remarkable feat:

That’s not something you see every day. To have the wherewithal to make that decision after suffering an injury at full speed is remarkably impressive, particularly at the FCS level.
Fordham ended up beating Georgetown 31-3 to pick up its second win of the 2024 season.
