College GameDay is welcoming back a recent Ohio State great for the Week 13 broadcast from Columbus.

Fields finished third in Heisman voting as a sophomore in 2019, his first year as a starter after transferring from Georgia the year prior. He led Ohio State to the College Football Playoff National Championship against Alabama the following year.
During his brief Buckeye career, Fields threw for 5,373 yards, ran for 867 yards, scored 78 total touchdowns with just 9 interceptions, and led the Buckeyes to a combined 20-2 record. They won the Big Ten Championship in both of Fields’ seasons as a starter and beat Clemson in the CFP semifinal game at the Sugar Bowl during the 2020 season.
Fields spent 3 seasons in Chicago, where he started 44 games. He was dealt to Pittsburgh prior to the 2024 season.
GameDay will set up outside St. John Arena on the Ohio State campus on Saturday. The broadcast is set to run from 9 a.m. to noon ET on ESPN. Ohio State coach Ryan Day will join the show live on set while Indiana’s Curt Cignetti will also speak to the panel from the field.
The top-5 showdown between Ohio State (9-1) and Indiana (10-0) is set to kick off shortly after noon ET on FOX.
