Controversial review decision takes safety away from Kansas State in Big 12 title bout vs. TCU
Kansas State is trying to win a Big 12 title and potentially knock No. 3 TCU out of the College Football Playoff picture.
The Wildcats are doing great so far. They took a lead into halftime and extended it to 21-10 early in the third quarter.
But, prior to the Wildcats’ touchdown in the third quarter, an apparent safety was taken off the board. Here was the play, which was ruled a safety on the field before being overturned upon review:

That was certainly a controversial call, but it was truly a bang-bang play that could have gone either way.
Kansas State got the last laugh, though, scoring on this 25-yard touchdown pass on its ensuing possession:
