Deion Sanders and Colorado picked up a big win over Arizona on Saturday evening to move to 5-2 on the season.

It was an impressive win for the Buffs, who are still alive in the race for a spot in the Big 12 Championship Game as the calendar moves toward late October.

But after the game, Sanders briefly addressed some comments made by former United States President Barack Obama.

Obama, while speaking at a campaign event for Vice President Kamala Harris in Arizona earlier this week, noted that Colorado has “a couple of good players” before discussing Arizona’s record against the Buffs in recent seasons.

“Colorado’s got a couple of good players,” Obama said to the crowd in Arizona. “I also know you guys have beaten them twice in a row. Don’t bet against the Wildcats tomorrow.”

Sanders took exception — in mostly-friendly fashion, of course.

“President Obama is everything to me,” Sanders said. “I love him, I admire him, I respect him tremendously. But … I heard what he said, you know. President, I heard what you said, man. C’mon!

“That’s why I don’t really get into politics, I’m into people. Because politicians, they play the political game. And he was [in Arizona] and had to play the political game. So he said ‘they have 2 good players.’ We’ve got more than 2 good players!”
