Deion Sanders is expected to miss another Jackson State game, according to a Friday report.
John Brice of FootballScoop reports, per multiple sources, that Sanders is not expected to coach Jackson State’s Saturday game against Texas Southern. It will be Sanders’ third-consecutive absence.
Brice writes that Sanders has “endured an extended hospitalization and complicated recovery from his Sept. 22 surgery on his left foot.” Sanders was able to coach Jackson State’s games on Sept. 25, Oct. 9 and Oct. 16 after his surgery. Sanders’ recovery issues have not been detailed in the reports on his absence from the sidelines.
Jackson State has been 2-0 in Sanders’ absence, improving its record to 7-1 overall and 5-0 in the SWAC.
