ESPN CFB posts strong viewership numbers following packed Week 2 slate
By Ethan Stone
Published:
ESPN and ABC aired 2 of the 3 most watched games from Week 2’s packed slate of college football, only behind FOX’s coverage of Alabama-Texas.
Coverage for ESPN is up 24% over 2021 for Week 2. And exciting games will do that. Tennessee vs. Pitt was the second most watched game of the week across all networks. BYU vs. Baylor, which started late on the east coast, was the most watched night game since Texas at Cal in 2016.
College football is even doing well on Friday. Louisville and UCF put together an exciting appetizer and was ESPN’s most-viewed Friday game since 2013.
Week 2 of @ESPNCFB was ⬆️

And we haven’t even hit the bulk of conference play yet.
