Deion Sanders is off to quite the start at Colorado.

The Buffaloes have started the year with a pair of wins over No. 17 TCU and Nebraska. It’s not a national champion-level resume, but it’s a good start for a team many expected to struggle heavily in Year 1.

On Sunday, former Colorado WR and 10-time skiing World Cup Gold medalist Jeremy Bloom asked Colorado fans an interesting question: “Would you contribute to a dedicated fund aimed at securing a long-term contract for Coach Prime, ensuring his leadership for many more seasons to come?”

He seems to have already answered that question in his head. The Olympian skier insisted that he would kickstart an initiative to keep Coach Prime around, starting with a $100K pledge.

A solid 75% of Colorado fans in the comment section agreed. Even if talk is cheap, that’s a strong show of support for the former NFL legend at the helm of the Colorado program.

And it’s not difficult to see why, regardless of whether Sanders stays at Colorado long-term. The Buffs haven’t had a winning season since 2016 and finished lasts year 1-11.

Sanders surpassed that mark in Week 2.
