Hurricane Ian is currently a tropical storm, but it’s still having an impact on Week 5 college football games in the southeast. Georgia Southern (3-1) at Coastal Carolina (4-0) is the latest game to have its scheduled kickoff time altered.
On Thursday, Coastal Carolina announced that due to the forecasted rain and high winds in the Myrtle Beach/Conway area on Friday, the Chanticleers and Eagles will start at 7 p.m. ET (ESPN+) on Saturday instead of the originally scheduled 4 p.m. ET.

Ian made initial landfall in southwest Florida on the Gulf of Mexico coast Wednesday afternoon. It was eventually downgraded to a tropical storm as it made its way through the state. Thursday’s projections have Ian heading up the Atlantic Ocean from Florida to South Carolina.
A Hurricane Warning has been issued for the entire South Carolina coast.
