Hurricane Ian impact: College football game changes location ahead of storm

Hurricane Ian is heading toward the Florida coast this week, and the big storm is already having an impact on the Week 5 college football schedule.
Already, we’ve seen South Carolina move its game against South Carolina State up to Thursday night. Florida has moved its game vs. Eastern Washington from Saturday to Sunday. Now, another game will change locations.
As you can see below, USF announced that it would head across the state and play its Saturday game against East Carolina at FAU’s stadium in Boca Raton:

USF is located in Tampa, which is an area expected to be heavily impacted by Hurricane Ian. Other college football games that could be impacted include SMU at UCF and Wake Forest at Florida State.
The impact of Hurricane Ian will continue to be monitored as Saturday draws closer.
