Games across college sports are being canceled or moved around due to the approaching Hurricane Ian and another one was added to the list on Tuesday afternoon.

The anticipated PFL matchup between Stetson and San Diego set for Saturday was officially canceled this week.

“Due to circumstances caused by Hurricane Ian, the Stetson-San Diego PFL game, Saturday, has been canceled,” Pioneer Football said on Twitter. “Our thoughts go out to the Stetson and DeLand communities as they prepare for Hurricane Ian.”

SEC teams have also been affected by this, with Florida football announcing a date change for its Week 5 game against Eastern Washington, which has been moved to Oct. 2 at noon.

South Carolina is also moving its Week 5 contest against South Carolina State from Saturday to Thursday as the inclement weather continues to affect scheduling in the region of the country it is expected to have significant effects on. That game is now set for a 6 p.m. CT kickoff at Williams-Brice Stadium.

Expect for more games to be affected as hurricane season impacts the college sports landscape.
