Kirk Herbstreit knows how to be a supportive dad, even if his son opts for a college that is on the opposite side of his former hated rival.

ESPN’s popular broadcaster is a former Ohio State quarterback, so Herbstreit undoubtedly has some strong things about all things Michigan. Well, that just happens to be the destination for Herbstreit’s son, Chase, who committed to Sherrone Moore and company in December.

This week, Chase was taking his official visit to Ann Arbor, and he shared some images of himself in Michigan gear on the trip. Chase shared those images on Instagram, and his family had conflicting emotions.

For Kirk, he went straight into his proud dad phase. He had nothing but positivity for his son, a 3-star QB, landing his official moment as a prospect.

Meanwhile, Zak, a tight end who walked on at Ohio State, was not as positive. He used a Star Wars gif to troll Chase a bit, a reminder of where the majority of the Herbstreit family’s loyalty lies.

At the end of the day, Kirk Herbstreit was always going to support his son as Chase writes his own story. Zak, however, is a different story.
