Miami’s on-field issues this season are now carrying over off the field.

Mike Rumph, the Hurricanes assistant director of recruiting, was arrested Saturday and charged with driving with a suspended license. It was his third such offense and is a felony charge.

According to Andy Slater of FoxSports 640 in Miami, Rumph was released on $750 bond.

Rumph was a standout defensive back for the Hurricanes before being selected in the 1st round of the 2002 NFL Draft with the 27th overall pick by the San Francisco 49ers.

The 6-2, 205-pounder played 5 seasons in the NFL with San Francisco and Washington, recording 121 career tackles, 3 interceptions, and 2 sacks.

The 2-3 Hurricanes were off Saturday and will return to action at North Carolina next weekend.
