Gundy and Oklahoma State reportedly held some contention after the Cowboys finished this season 3-9. However, Gundy is one of the best coaches in Oklahoma State history, having finished 18 straight seasons with a winning record before 2024.
The news that Gundy is set to stay in Stillwater comes just a few weeks after he was asked if he had any plans to retire following OK State’s loss to Texas Tech. He denied such intentions.
