The Oklahoma Sooners are used to being in the Big 12 Championship Game, but this year, they’re sitting at home while Oklahoma State and Baylor play for the league title.
Apparently, it’s going to take some getting used to for the referees, too. The game started with a mistake from the head official.
During the coin toss, Oklahoma State won, but the ref referred to the Cowboys as “Oklahoma” before correcting himself:
During the coin flip, the official says, "Oklahoma has won the… Oklahoma State has won the toss."
Cowboys fans boo loudly.

Naturally, Cowboy fans weren’t too happy to hear that and voiced their displeasure.
Now, though, the game is on and we’ll see if the Sooners’ rivals can take home the Big 12 title this year.
