The path of top high school quarterback Jake Garcia has been an interesting story to follow this fall. And it appears the USC commit is once again on the move to a new school.

During the summer, Garcia moved from La Habra, Calif., to Valdosta, Ga., after the California Interscholastic Federation canceled the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Per Football Scoop’s Maddie Robertson, the Georgia High School Association learned that Garcia’s parents got divorced to make it so he was allowed to be eligible to play.

Garcia had played in Valdosta High School’s season opener, but the school had to forfeit that win after he was ruled ineligible. But now, Garcia is transferring to another Georgia school, Grayson High School in Loganville, and he is expected to be eligible to play, according to Gerard Martinez of 247Sports.com.

Garcia is a 4-star recruit who is the No. 4 pro-style quarterback in the 2021 class, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He is the No. 39 overall recruit in the class.

It will be interesting to see what happens next as Garcia joins a team that has already played six games this season. Will he get to play? How long will he be there? What will happen next? It’s sure to be a storyline to follow as he gets closer to heading to USC next fall.
