Sydney Sweeney wants to clarify that she is not avoiding The Oregon Duck.

Oregon’s beloved mascot had fun with signs during the College GameDay broadcast from Eugene, Oregon ahead of the top-5 showdown between Oregon and Ohio State. During the picks segment, the mascot held up a sign that read, “Sydney Sweeney call me back.”

Sweeney took to social media to respond. She shared via her Instagram account the Duck has an old number.

Sweeney, 27, is everywhere you look these days. A native of Spokane, Washington, Sweeney has been working since 2009 but gained considerable fame in recent years with starring roles in movies and hit TV series. Her notable TV appearances include the series The Handmaid’s Tale (2018), Euphoria (2019-present) and The White Lotus (2021). Sweeney was also featured in Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

This year, Sweeney has starred in the movies Madame Web and Immaculate. Her film Eden premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. She memorably hosted Saturday Night Live in March.

As for getting a callback from Sweeney, the Duck should probably look elsewhere unless she just wants to talk about sports. Sweeney began dating Chicago businessman Jonathan Davino in 2018. The couple became engaged in 2022.
