Tom Herman will be leading a college football program in 2022.

The former Texas and Houston coach has been hired by Florida Atlantic according to Brett McMurphy. Herman most recently served as an offensive analyst and special projects coach for the Chicago Bears.

Herman replaces Willie Taggart, who went 15-18 at the school over three seasons. He went 54-22 at his two previous stops, leading Houston to a 13-1 record and a Peach Bowl win over Florida State in 2015. Herman also won 10 games with Texas in 2018 with a Sugar Bowl win over Georgia.

Before becoming a head coach Herman was the offensive coordinator at Ohio State under Urban Meyer.
