Travis Hunter will continue playing for Deion Sanders.

Hunter, the No. 1 overall recruit in the class of 2022, entered the NCAA transfer portal earlier this week. Wednesday evening, he made it official that he is following Coach Prime from Jackson State to Colorado.

Sanders and Hunter shocked the college football world a year ago. Hunter, out of Collins Hill in Suwanee, Georgia, was long committed to Florida State. On Signing Day, though, the top prospect flipped his commitment to Sanders’ Jackson State program.

In his freshman season at Jackson State, Hunter was a 2-way player. As a defensive back, he recorded 19 tackles with 2 interceptions. He also caught 18 passes for 190 yards and 4 touchdowns during the 2022 season.

Hunter to Colorado certainly adds to the intrigue of the first season of Prime Time in Boulder.
