UCF suffered a blowout loss at home to undefeated BYU on Saturday, 37-24.
It was a disappointing effort for the Golden Knights, who have now lost 5 consecutive games. UCF was also a small favorite in this game, but the result was never in doubt.
During the game, fans in Orlando began chanting for 4th-year head coach Gus Malzahn to be fired:

Malzahn’s tenure at UCF got off to a solid start start with a pair of 9-win seasons. However, UCF’s move to the Big 12 has proven to be challenging for the program. The Golden Knights went 3-6 in conference play last season and are now 1-4 against Big 12 teams in 2024.
The former Auburn coach has a contract that runs through the 2027 season, meaning he has 3 years remaining after the 2024 campaign is complete.
UCF is now 3-5 overall in 2024 and will need to win 3 of its final 4 games this season in order to reach the postseason.
