Deion Sanders’ Colorado team kicked off its return to the Big 12 with a win in the most thrilling way.
The Buffaloes had the ball at the Baylor 44-yard line trailing 31-24 with 2 seconds left. Shedeur Sanders threw to the end zone, and LaJohntay Wester was there, making an impressive low grab with zeroes on the clock.

Coach Prime elected to kick the PAT and play for overtime instead of going for 2 and the win.
In OT, Colorado had the ball first. The Buffs scored a touchdown, with Shedeur Sanders making sure Micah Welch crossed the goal line.

It was Baylor’s turn to answer. The Bears were close to running it in for a TD, but Travis Hunter forced a game-ending fumble. Instead of scoring and setting up a potential tie or decisive 2-point attempt, the fumble ended Baylor’s possession, concluding the late-night thriller in Boulder.

With the win, the Buffs are now 3-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play. It’s Big 12 opponents for Prime’s team the rest of the way, with UCF up next in Week 5.
