Deion Sanders has a high level of appreciation for Nick Saban’s wife, Ms. Terry.

And he made that well-known when he shouted her out for picking his Colorado Buffaloes to defeat the UCF Knights in Week 5. Her husband, however, had picked UCF to get the victory. Ms. Terry finished with the better record of picking the games.

It was Colorado that ultimately came out on the right side of the win column with a dominant 48-21 victory. Saban made it clear that his wife had given him some grief on his pick that obviously ended up being incorrect.

“And she got on me because I didn’t (pick Colorado),” Saban said in the College Gameday appearance. “I want you to know that, too.”

Up next, “Coach Prime” and the squad will face the No. 18 Kansas State Wildcats, which is sure to be a tough test against a quality, ranked opponent. He knows what the keys are to his team getting the victory as well.

“We’ve got to tackle. We’ve got to tackle,” Sanders explained to Saban. “We can’t have missed tackles. Penalties. Penalties. This team is not penalized much at all. We’ve got to match that. We’ve got to match that. We can’t do the dumb, stupid penalties before the ball even snap. We can’t have those type of penalties. I understand if it’s in the flow of the game, but the pre-snap penalties are just ignorant and idiotic. We cannot go out there and beat ourselves.”

Colorado and K-State are set to kick off at 10:15 p.m. ET in the Buffaloes’ house.
