4-star DT committed to Alabama visiting Florida for Auburn game
2020 defensive tackle prospect Jayson Jones is committed to Alabama, but he apparently isn’t done looking. Jones tweeted on Thursday afternoon that he will be visiting Florida this weekend for the Gators-Auburn Tigers matchup.

Standing 6-foot-6 and 340 pounds, Jones is a 4-star recruit in the 2020 class. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Jones is the 18th-best defensive tackle prospect in the class and No. 7 overall recruit for 2020 in Alabama.
Jones is one of 22 commits for the Crimson Tide in the 2020 class. Alabama’s 2020 recruiting class is ranked second in the country and first in the SEC according to 247Sports.
Florida had 17 commits and sit in sixth among SEC teams for the 2020 class. The Gators actually already have three 4-star defensive tackles committed in the 2020 class. It will be interesting to see if that influences Jones’ decision of whether to stick with Alabama or flip to Florida.
The Gators will host Auburn at 3:30 pm ET on Saturday.
