Anthony Richardson is trying to bounce back from the disappointing loss to Georgia as the freshman quarterback got the start last week, but suffered a flurry of turnovers that flipped the game.
Edgar Thompson of the Orlando Sentinel reported that someone in Richardson’s camp told him that Richardson is “feeling better and is doing everything in his power to be ready to go this week.”
Text from someone in Anthony Richardson’s camp: ‘Ant is certainly feeling better and is doing everything in his power to be ready to go this week’ … Big month to gain experience, confidence, establish himself as #Gators QB. Needs to be on field.

Richardson is trying to help Florida turn around as the Gators have stumbled lately against Power 5 opponents. The Georgia loss was a 34-7 result and Florida’s 7th loss in its last 9 games against Power 5 teams.
The Gators play at South Carolina this week in the first of 4 consecutive games in which Florida should be a heavy favorite. The Gators close with Samford (3-5), Missouri (4-4) and Florida State (3-5) as Richardson and the Gators look to change the narrative to end the season and move into next year.
