Anthony Richardson showed that some things are bigger than sports Tuesday.

An Indianapolis Colts fan posted the news about her father passing away with a video of him celebrating after the team picked Richardson.

Richardson responded to the video with some kind words.

“My condolences on your father’s passing,” said Richardson. “I’m glad you allowed me to share this moment and memory with you, thanks for all the support and may he rest in peace!”

Richardson was taken off the board in this year’s draft with the fourth overall pick. He has 479 yards passing and 7 total touchdowns through three games played.

Richardson has looked the part so far as the Colts are 2-2 heading into Week 5. Indianapolis lost to the L.A. Rams in overtime in its last game.

It’s great to see athletes like Richardson take time out of their day to send some warm wishes to those going through a tough time.
