Antonio Callaway issues statement following news of failed drug test at NFL Combine
Antonio Callaway is looking for one more chance.
The troubled, yet talented former Florida receiver found himself in the headlines for the wrong reasons yet again recently as it was announced he failed a drug test during his appearance at the NFL Combine. While his sample was technically diluted, that constitutes a failure by NFL testing standards.
According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Callaway is hoping for another chance to show he has changed and has even received counseling from Pittsburgh receiver Antonio Brown. Callaway’s message is an odd one, considering he had so many strikes against his record entering the pre-draft process. He wasn’t even given a chance to play for the Gators last season following his involvement in the summer credit card fraud involving nine Florida players.
Just spoke with remorseful #UF WR Antonio Callaway regarding his drug test at the Combine. He said he smoked weeks before but vowed “I take full responsibility for everything.” Callaway said Antonio Brown counseled him “There is too much opportunity to be messing up."

Will any NFL team take a chance on Callaway in the upcoming draft?
