A former Florida defensive lineman is looking for another opportunity in the NFL. The Arizona Cardinals announced they released Adam Shuler as part of their latest rounds of roster cuts.

Shuler signed with the Cardinals as a free agent after going unselected in the 2020 NFL Draft. Undrafted free agents always have a difficult path to making the active roster as rookies, even more so in an offseason limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Shuler signed at West Virginia as part of the class of 2015 and transferred to Florida ahead of the 2018 season. In his college career, Shuler appeared in 46 games, recording 139 total tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, 9 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and 2 fumble recoveries. Shuler’s 2 seasons at Florida accounted for 23 of those games, 68 tackles, 8.5 TFL, 5 sacks and a fumble recovery.
