Florida and UCF have completed a swap of off-field staffers.

On Monday, the Gators announced that Kareem Reid will be on Billy Napier’s staff as a defensive line quality control coach.

Reid arrives from Central Florida, where he served as director of player development on Gus Malzahn’s Knights staff in 2021. Reid played defensive line at UCF from 2004-06 and has more than a decade of experience coaching high school football in Florida and Georgia. He was head coach of Westlake High School in Atlanta from 2016-19.

Reid’s hiring comes 4 days after former Florida off-field staffer Kelvin Bolden landed with the Knights as a recruiting staffer.
