Former Florida defensive back C.J. McWilliams announces transfer destination
After nearly a month in the transfer portal, C.J. McWilliams has made his decision.
The former Florida defensive back is headed to Purdue to play for Jeff Brohm’s program. He announced his decision on social media.
McWilliams started the season as Florida’s starting nickel against Ole Miss but never made another appearance following the season opener. He also did not play in 2019 after suffering an injury but did appear in nine games during the 2018 season.
During his time in Gainesville, McWilliams registered a total of 16 tackles and defended four passes.
He will be eligible immediately at Purdue after transferring as a college graduate.
Wishing you the best luck and success at Purdue! Thanks for your time at Florida… I will be watching the Purdue games now and they will be my favorite Big Ten school. God bless you young man… Please get your degree and remember all Gator fans are rooting for you.
