Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson returned to play against Kentucky on Saturday night after missing 2 games with a hamstring injury.

The No. 20 Gators lost the game 20-13 and Richardson, who had made a number of explosive plays for Florida to start the season, wasn’t much of a factor.

The 6-4, 236-pounder from Gainesville completed his only pass attempt for 8 yards and added 25 rushing yards on 5 carries.

During his weekly press conference Monday, Gators coach Dan Mullen was asked about the limited snaps Richardson got and if his health was an issue.

Mullen said that Richardson was fine physically. As far as getting more playing time, Mullen added that it will be a fluid situation.

“We’ll look at it,” said Mullen when asked about an expanded role for Richardson. “It depends on our game plan from week to week and how practice goes.”
