The Gators return to action next week against Florida State.
Mullen responded to questions about Anthony Richardson, late-game play-calling and the direction of the program.
Here’s a sampling of what Mullen told the media after the game:
“The Florida football program is going to be here for a long time. It’s not about one game. Got to make the program better.”

Mullen says he’s disappointed that they didn’t find a way to win another one-score game. They made critical penalties, didn’t score touchdowns in the red zone and didn’t create any turnovers. They’re not making plays, and that’s disappointing.

Mullen says his conversation with Stricklin was on things they need to improve. They’ve always worked well together. “I love being the coach of the Gators. We’re giving it everything we have every single week.”

Mullen says #Gators thought Mizzou would be spread defensively, which is why they went with a draw on the first play of that last 4Q drive. RB slipped and fell, then things changed
