DJ Durkin will coach Gators in bowl game
With a 52-3 win over Eastern Kentucky, the Florida Gators earned bowled eligibility despite a rocky 2014 season.
Will Muschamp will finish out the regular season as Florida’s head coach, but will not stay for the bowl game.
As a result, GatorZone.com’s Scott Carter reported that defensive coordinator DJ Durkin will take over the head coaching responsibilities in the bowl game.

Durkin has been Florida’s defensive coordinator over the past two seasons as well as coaching the linebackers since arriving at Florida in 2010.
