Florida coach Billy Napier called it a “significant” hamstring injury in his halftime interview with ABC’s Holly Rowe.
Lagway was the No. 2 quarterback in the 247Sports Composite Rankings, with only Julian Sayin in font of him. He was sharing time early in the season with Graham Mertz, but Mertz was lost for the season in the overtime loss at Tennessee.
The Gators started the season off very slow at 1-2, but the team has responded by winning 3 of its last 4 games. When you look at the schedule, the losses are to Miami, Texas A&M and Tennessee. All 3 of those teams are currently ranked in the top 10, showing the Gators are playing really well with coach Billy Napier facing immense pressure.
After Lagway was injured, the Gators went to Aidan Warner to play at the quarterback position. Warner is a redshirt freshman who was only 2-of-3 entering to the game on Saturday.
