EJ Jarvis is looking to continue his college basketball career elsewhere after more than 3 years at Yale. Jarvis has narrowed his transfer options down to 8 teams, including Florida.

Todd Golden’s staff will be competing with Cal, Georgia Tech, Georgetown, Miami, Northwestern, Notre Dame and VCU, according to Joe Tipton of On3.

Jarvis announced his entry into the portal as a graduate just over 1 week ago.

Jarvis’ Yale career began in 2019-20, the college basketball season that ended prematurely due to COVID-19. The Ivy League did not hold a 2020-21 season due to the ongoing pandemic.

Over 3 seasons, Jarvis saw his playing time steadily increase. He was a bench contributor in 10 games in 2019-20, averaging 4.3 minutes per contest. In 2021-22, he was up to 17 minutes per game, making 5 starts in 22 total appearances.

Jarvis became a regular starter this past season. In 29 games (21 starts), Jarvis averaged 11.4 points and 5.5 rebounds over 22.3 minutes per game.

Coming off of a 16-17 season in Golden’s first year, Florida is looking to rebuild its roster after 5 players entered the NCAA transfer portal. Star big man Colin Castleton and guards Myreon Jones and Kyle Lofton have completed their college careers.
