Emory Jones working with well-known QB coach this offseason

It may be difficult to remember this far back but many believed when Feleipe Franks’ time in Gainesville came to an end, it would be Emory Jones that would be the next starting quarterback for the Florida Gators.

Of course, Franks’ time as Florida’s starter was ended prematurely due to injury and Kyle Trask stepped up when called upon and only got better the more he saw the field for the Gators.

Now with Trask off to the NFL, the path is clear for Jones to finally take over in Gainesville.

While many quarterbacks may have transferred out after being forced to sit for as long as Jones has, the first signal-caller Dan Mullen signed after landing the Florida job is now poised to finally assume full control of the offense in Gainesville in 2021.

Spring football may have wrapped up a few weeks ago but Jones is doing everything he can this offseason to prepare for his breakout season and that includes working with well-known quarterback coach, Quincy Avery.
